Practical Things We Can Do.

We've been discussing in our Bible class the steps Randall took to create opportunities to share the Gospel.  Since some of us are hesitant about sharing our ideas in class, I said I would create a blog to help us share our ideas and encourage each other in this effort.  So, here it is.  All you have to do is create a comment to this post and share your idea in it.  Please share whatever comes to mind.  When you are brainstorming, there is really no right or wrong.  There is just the free flow of ideas.  We will take whatever is shared and discuss it in class to see where we might go with it.  Thanks in advance for your participation.

I have heard two different times about groups of Christians that have enjoyed a lot of success in making connections with folks by visiting a laundromat for a few hours and paying for people's washing and drying. No pressure to study - just helping meet needs.

When we show a kindness to someone prompting them to say thank you. ..give God the glory by saying something like. ..."oh don't thank me, thank God whose word teaches us to. ...be kind. .show compassion. ..love our fellow man...etc (whatever fits the occasion) Using a bible verse that fits if possible.

We have been spending time with our son Jon and his children at the beach while their Mom is on a mission trip to Tanzania! Jon told us many stories about opportunities he has made to witness to his patients at work (physical therapist) or at the mall or gas station.... First he prays that God will give him an opportunity to share about Him with others, then he looks for an opportunity. When he took his daughter to Clair's (a girlie store) a young adult couple came in. While the woman was looking, Jon engaged the man (of middle eastern descent) in a conversation that quickly turned into a faith discussion. Jon did not convert him on the spot, but he did plant seeds and raised interest about Christ. So let's pray for opportunities and look for them to come our way.
